Founding of Arveyes

Arveyes is not a municipality: it is a hamlet of the municipality of Ollon, in the district of Aigle. The sources consulted name neither a founder nor a date of creation. In 1301 Arveyes already formed a community able to appoint representatives. Until 1874 Arveyes was one of the six mountain dizains of the municipality of Ollon. In the 20th century the village is part of the Villars resort, without having developed as much as Villars and Chesières.
